Falak Javed’s judicial remand extended by 14 days in Zaman Park attack case


Lahore: An anti-terrorism court on Thursday extended the judicial remand of PTI activist Falak Javed by 14 days in a case pertaining to an alleged attack on Islamabad Police personnel at Zaman Park.



ATC Judge Manzer Ali Gill conducted the hearing, during which Falak Javed was produced before the court from jail after expiry of her previous judicial remand.



The investigating officer requested further extension of the accused’s judicial remand, informing the court that the supplementary challan against her was being prepared and would be submitted shortly.



After hearing the prosecution, the court extended Falak Javed’s judicial remand for another 14 days and ordered that she be sent back to jail. The court also directed the police to submit the supplementary challan in the case.



According to police, a petrol bomb was allegedly recovered from Falak Javed. Police further alleged that she, along with other PTI workers, was involved in an attack on Islamabad Police personnel at Zaman Park.



Several police officers and personnel were reportedly injured during the incident. Islamabad Police had arrived at Zaman Park to serve summons on PTI founder , but party workers allegedly resisted the police and threw petrol bombs.



A case, FIR No. 410/23, was registered at Race Course Police Station in connection with the incident.
