Islamabad: Minister for Religious Affairs. Sardar Muhammad Yousaf on Monday announced that the government has fixed the Hajj package at Rs1. 2 million for the 40-day scheme and Rs1. 3 million for the short Hajj scheme lasting 20 to 25 days.
The minister reiterated his ministry’s commitment to providing world-class facilities to Pakistani pilgrims through the use of modern technology. Addressing a news conference. the minister said that the objective was to ensure a comfortable stay for Pakistani pilgrims in the Holy Land.
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said the collection of the first Hajj installment would begin from the 17 of this month. while the second installment would be collected from the first week of October. The Minister said under the Hajj Policy 2027. 107. 526 Pakistani pilgrims would perform Hajj next year under the government scheme.
He said 71. 684 pilgrims would perform Hajj next year under the private Hajj scheme. The Minister said pilgrims opting for the private scheme would also use the digital payment system through the Pak Hajj App or Hajj Portal to pay their installments.
He said the digital system has been introduced to facilitate pilgrims. streamline the payment process and ensure greater transparency. Sardar Yousuf said that the entire process of Hajj 2027 has been digitized end-to-end and pilgrims would be able to complete the payment in a few minutes through the Pak Hajj app while sitting at home.
