Dera ismail khan: On the special directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and Assistant Commissioner Paharpur, a comprehensive fire safety audit and inspection of various schools and colleges in Paharpur tehsil was conducted under the supervision of Civil Defence Office In-charge Dera Ismail Khan Alamgir Khan.
Instructor Ahsan Imdad Hassan, along with the Civil Defence inspection team, inspected the educational institutions and reviewed the arrangements made to deal with fire emergencies and ensure the safety of students and staff.
The administrations of the institutions concerned were directed to complete all necessary fire safety arrangements within seven days and ensure strict compliance with the prescribed safety standards.
As part of the inspection, practical fire safety demonstrations were also conducted at Iqra Science School and College and Shan School and College, Paharpur.
Students and staff were briefed on immediate, safe and effective measures to be adopted in case of fire, including the proper use of fire extinguishers and procedures for safe evacuation of buildings.
The Civil Defence officials emphasized the importance of maintaining functional fire safety equipment and ensuring that students and staff remained familiar with emergency response and evacuation procedures.
