Attock: A ninth-grade student allegedly died on Monday after ingesting poisonous pills at her home in the Ikhlas area of Pindi Gheb, with police investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
According to local sources, the student allegedly took the pills after reportedly failing her ninth-grade examinations for the second consecutive time. She was in critical condition when her family rushed her to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Pindi Gheb, where doctors made efforts to save her life but she succumbed to the effects of the substance.
Police reached the scene after being informed of the incident and launched an investigation. Officials said all aspects of the case were being examined, including the circumstances preceding the incident and the nature of the substance allegedly consumed.
