Islamabad: Federal Minister for Health Mustafa Kamal and Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Saturday visited Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and inspected the hospital’s Children’s Ward.
The federal ministers reviewed the facilities and arrangements at the Children’s Ward and were briefed by the hospital administration about the healthcare services being provided to patients.
Talking to the media, Mustafa Kamal said that the government was awaiting the report of the inquiry committee constituted by Prime Minister into the recent PIMS incident.
‘Let us wait for the Prime Minister’s inquiry committee’s report,’ he said, adding that the facts and findings of the inquiry would provide clarity on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The ministers also reviewed the overall situation at the hospital and discussed measures aimed at improving patient care and hospital management.
