Lahore: Following the announcement of Intermediate Part-II results, the Higher Education Department Punjab has decided to take action against government colleges that have demonstrated poor performance.
Colleges’ heads, and teachers producing results below the board average will be identified, while those demonstrating outstanding performance will be encouraged.
The Higher Education Department Punjab has sought a detailed record of Intermediate Part-II results from government colleges across Punjab. Details regarding college results will be obtained from all directorates, after which government colleges falling below the board average will be identified.
According to sources, show-cause notices will be issued to the heads and relevant teachers of colleges with poor results, and the reasons behind these results will also be investigated. Meanwhile, Higher Education Department officials state that the results of government colleges this year have been better than in previous years. According to the DPI (Colleges), students from government colleges across Punjab have also secured 29 positions across various categories this year.
