Hot weather to persist scross Balochistan; Turbat records 44. 5°C


Quetta: The Regional Meteorological Center Quetta has forecast mainly hot weather conditions across most districts of Balochistan over the next 48 to 72 hours.



According to the district weather chart, very hot conditions are expected in Nokkundi, Washuk, Dalbandin, Kharan, Noshki, Panjgur, Kech, Awaran, Sibi, parts of Khuzdar, and the Naseerabad division.



Partly cloudy weather with chances of rain, wind, and thunderstorms at isolated places is likely in Zhob, Sherani, Barkhan, Musakhail, Kohlu, Dera Bugti, Ziarat, Harnai, Duki, Loralai, Surab, and Kalat districts. Occasionally strong gusty winds are also expected in most parts of the province.



The maximum temperature recorded was in Turbat at 44. 5°C, while the minimum was in Kalat at 31. 5°C. Other notable readings included Panjgur at 38. 5°C, Uthal at 38. 0°C, Lasbella and Zhob at 37. 5°C, Quetta at 36. 0°C, Pasni at 34. 5°C, Jiwani at 33. 0°C, Gwadar at 32. 5°C, and Ormara at 31. 5°C.



The authorities advised residents to take precautions against heat and strong winds, while local authorities remain on alert for possible rain-wind/thunderstorm activity in vulnerable districts.
