IG Police hoists national flag to mark 80th Independence Day in Quetta


Quetta: Inspector General (IG) Police Balochistan Muhammad Tahir on Friday congratulated the entire nation on celebration of Pakistan’s 80th Independence Day. He said that August 14 provides us with the great blessing of independence and an opportunity to renew the national pledge.



The IG expressed these views on the occasion of the flag hoisting ceremony at the Central Police Office Quetta on the occasion of Independence Day.



Additional IG and Commandant Balochistan Constabulary Ashfaq Ahmed, Additional IG Admin Javed Ali Mehar, Additional IG Operations Shahzad Akbar, DIG Police Quetta Imran Shaukat and DIG Admin Hassan Asad Alvi, along with other officers, were also present at the ceremony.



IG Police Balochistan stated that Balochistan is an integral and inseparable part of Pakistan, the people of the province have played aa crucialrole in the security, stability and development of the country since Pakistan’s establishment and would continue to play their full role for development of the country and the province.



IG Police Balochistan Muhammad Tahir said that Independence Day gives us the message that we all, as a nation, especially the youth, should continue to play our prominent, positive and important role in the development of the country according to our capabilities.



He paid tribute to the martyrs of the homeland of independence, Pakistan, who have made great sacrifices for the establishment and survival of Pakistan.



He also appreciated the individual and collective role of the Ghazis and people of all schools of thought, saying that they are commendable and worthy of imitation, thanks to whose countless sacrifices we are breathing freedom as a free and dignified identity today.



He said that we have made this pledge that now and ever, with full national spirit, we would not hesitate to make any sacrifices for the peace, stability and security of the country and the nation.
