Independence Day: Stalls of national flags, badges set up, vibrant atmosphere reaches climax


Lahore: As Independence Day approaches, the streets of the city are adorned with colours of patriotism and young people are full of fervour making arrangements for celebrations. Amid the vibrant atmosphere, a group of elders, children with their creative and spirited stalls of flags and badges were making their mark on the festive landscape.



Enthusiastic seniors and youngsters who have set up stalls of national flags along streets and roads, showcased with their heartfelt dedication to the nation and its history.



When asked about their inspiration for setting up the stalls for Independence Day, the stall holders echoed their love for Pakistan and their desire to display their pride for the country.



On the occasion of Independence Day, stalls of traditional snacks are also set up along streets reminding people about nation’s culinary heritage.



Furthermore, Independence Day preparations and activities are in full swing across markets in the provincial metropolis, with bazaars bustling with vibrant green-and-white decorations, roadside stalls, and festive shopping as the nation gears up for August 14th celebrations.



Likewise, in Lahore, with the arrival of Independence Day, the excitement of the day has started increasing across the city, while colorful stalls of national flags, badges and other decorative items have been decorated in various markets. Citizens are buying national flags, badges, stickers and decorative items related to Independence Day in large numbers in various markets of the city, including Urdu Bazaar.



The markets decorated with green and white colors have further added to the splendor of Independence Day.



City shopkeepers say that the number of buyers is continuously increasing as August 14 approaches and the trend of buying is expected to increase further in the coming days.



Citizens say that like every year, they are preparing to celebrate Independence Day with national spirit and full enthusiasm, while the process of decorating houses, shops and vehicles with national flags and banners has also started. However, in their messages for their elder citizens, the children wished everyone a joyous Independence Day and asked all Pakistanis to unite in pride for their country.
