Vehari: The district administration, civil society representatives and residents on Wednesday here organized a rally in to mark Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir, expressing solidarity with the people of Illegal Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The rally led by Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya, began at Goal Chowk and culminated at the Press Club on Jinnah Road.
The officials, traders, lawyers, students, journalists and other citizens took part, carrying placards and banners while chanting pro-Kashmir slogans.
Addressing the gathering, Goraya said August 5 reminded the denial of fundamental rights and continued oppression of the people of IIOJK .
He said Pakistan would continue to support the Kashmiri people and that their struggle could not be suppressed.
