KDA holds online open court on tourism, public concerns

Mansehra: Director General (DG) Kaghan Development Authority (KDA), Muhammad Shiraz on Thursday held an online open court on Facebook on Wednesday under the Good Governance Roadmap Policy, on the directives of Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Culture, Tourism and Archaeology Malik Adeel Iqbal.



Officials of the concerned departments also participated in the online session, attended by local residents of Kaghan Valley, tourists, hotel owners and people associated with the tourism sector.



Participants raised questions and presented suggestions regarding the promotion of tourism, provision of basic facilities, cleanliness, environmental protection and sustainable tourism in the valley.



DG Muhammad Shiraz listened to the participants’ concerns and welcomed their suggestions. He issued directions for immediate action on several complaints received during the session and assured participants that other issues would be addressed at the earliest in coordination with the relevant departments.



Speaking during the open court, Muhammad Shiraz said the initiative aimed to strengthen direct communication and public trust between the people and the authority, besides ensuring prompt redressal of public complaints.



He said the KDA would continue practical measures, in collaboration with relevant departments, to improve public services, provide quality facilities to tourists and protect the natural beauty and environment of Kaghan Valley.



The participants appreciated the online open court as a positive and public-friendly initiative, saying it provided them with an effective platform to raise their concerns directly with senior officials.
