Tank: Three traffic police personnel were martyred when unidentified armed men opened fire on their official vehicle in the Wazirabad area here on Monday, district police said.
The deceased were identified as Pir Khalid, Warden Gul Amin and Warden Saleemullah.
According to police sources, the attackers fled after the assault, taking the police vehicle and weapons with them.
A heavy contingent of police reached the scene soon after the incident and launched a search operation to trace the attackers.
