Bahawalpur: Member of the National Assembly and former federal minister, Ch Tariq Bashir Cheema said on Sunday that Makkah Defence Pact would prove to be a game-changer for the country’s development and prosperity. He said the agreement marks an important milestone in Pakistan’s foreign policy and economic development, says a news release.
He stated that strengthening Pakistan’s longstanding ties with Saudi Arabia and Turkiye through a new strategic and economic framework reflects the country’s diplomatic efforts. He said the trilateral agreement had the potential to pave the way for significant investment in Pakistan while enhancing cooperation in the defence, trade, and education sectors. He said the partnership with Turkiye and Saudi Arabia, which he described as longstanding friends of Pakistan, could contribute to peace and prosperity in the region. Meanwhile, senior political leader, Chaudhry Wali Dad Cheema said he hoped the agreement’s positive effects would eventually benefit common people. He expressed the view that such international partnerships could support economic stability, causing new employment opportunities, and open new avenues of progress for the country’s youth.
