Makkah Summit Defense Agreement to promote peace, stability in region: Dr Tariq


Islamabad: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Friday described the trilateral defense agreement signed during the Makkah Summit as a historic milestone that would promote peace and stability in the region.



Speaking to a private television channel, the minister said the agreement reflected the collective commitment of the participating countries to strengthening regional cooperation and security.



He credited Pakistan’s civil and military leadership for their efforts in advancing peace and fostering diplomatic engagement.



Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said Pakistan had earned international recognition following Marka-e-Haq, adding that the country’s constructive role as a mediator between the two states had been acknowledged by the international community.



Responding to a question, the minister termed the agreement a historic moment for the entire Muslim Ummah, expressing hope that it would pave the way for greater unity, cooperation, and lasting peace in the region.
