Man guns down sister-in-law over illicit relation allegations


Muzaffargarh: A woman was allegedly shot dead by her brother-in-law over unfounded allegations of illicit relations in the Dhaka area under Kundai police station limits on Saturday.



According to the First Information Report (FIR), suspect Abdul Jabbar, along with relatives Abdul Hakeem, Farooq, Ameer Din, and two unidentified accomplices, opened fire on his sister-in-law, Muradan Bibi, while she was sitting at home.



The suspects managed to flee the scene after committing the crime. Police crime scene and forensic units collected evidence from the spot and registered a case under Sections 302, 311, 148, and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of the victim’s husband, Muhammad Amin.



Police launched a search operation to trace and arrest the fleeing suspects.
