Lahore: Punjab Minister for Communication and Works (C and W) Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth has directed the commencement of repair work on four roads leading to the Raiwind Tablighi Ijtema venue ahead of the annual congregation.
The minister issued the directives during a briefing by Communication and Works Department officers regarding the condition of roads and the proposed repair work.
Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth directed the officers to complete the identification of locations requiring patchwork on Sunder-Raiwind Road, Pachian Bypass and Mian Ji Abdullah Road to ensure timely completion of repair work. He directed the Executive Engineer (XEN) and Superintending Engineer (SE) to make immediate arrangements for the availability of all required construction materials and submit the road repair plan without delay.
The provincial minister further directed that installation of signboards and lane marking on the roads be completed at the earliest to facilitate commuters and ensure smooth traffic flow during the Raiwind Tablighi Ijtema.
