Lahore: Minority Forum Pakistan Lahore Chapter Secretary General Daniel Masih and Convener Nasir William called on Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) Chairperson and MPA Sarah Ahmad, here on Wednesday.
The meeting discussed measures for child protection and prevention of early marriages. The participants also discussed the Punjab Child Marriage Restraint Act 2026 and measures to prevent child marriages.
Daniel Masih and Nasir William congratulated CPWB Chairperson Sarah Ahmed on the passage of the Child Marriage Restraint Bill and appreciated her efforts for the protection and welfare of children and prevention of early marriages.
The participants also discussed measures to create awareness and promote cooperation for protecting children’s rights and preventing child marriages.
Chairperson Sarah Ahmed expressed her commitment to continuing efforts without discrimination to provide children with a safe environment and protect their fundamental rights.
