Faisalabad: Recognizing contribution of minority communities to Pakistan’s progress and civic life, the Suthra Punjab Agency Faisalabad held a special ceremony on National Minorities Day where the services of Christian sanitation workers were particularly appreciated for their role in keeping the city clean.
Suthra Punjab Agency Faisalabad, Managing Director Abid Hussain Bhatti, Christian workers and representatives of other minority communities attended the ceremony. The event featured a cake-cutting ceremony led by the managing director along with Christian workers and representatives of the minority community to mark National Minorities Day.
Special prayers were also offered for the security, stability, progress and prosperity of Pakistan. Addressing the gathering, Abid Hussain Bhatti said the role of minority communities in the development and progress of Pakistan was highly commendable.
He said that Christian and other minority communities were rendering valuable services in various sectors of national life, besides playing an important role in the sanitation sector. The managing director said that Christian workers of Suthra Punjab Agency were an integral part of the institution and they were performing their duties alongside other sanitation workers to maintain cleanliness across the city.
He appreciated their hard work and dedicated services, saying that the agency valued their contributions and recognized their role in maintaining a clean and healthy urban environment.
Bhatti stressed that ensuring the country’s development and prosperity required taking all segments of society, including minority communities, along on the journey of progress. He assured members of the minority community that they enjoyed equal opportunities and respect within Suthra Punjab Agency as their contributions were valued without any discrimination.
