Islamabad: Member of the National Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary for National Culture and Heritage Farah Naz Akbar on Monday visited various petrol pumps in Islamabad to review arrangements for the Rs500 special relief scheme announced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, inspect relief registers, interact with pump staff and seek feedback from citizens to assess the scheme’s implementation and transparency.
During her visits, MS Farah Naz inspected the registers maintained for the relief scheme and spoke to citizens about their experience in receiving the announced assistance.
She said provision of relief to the people remained the government’s foremost priority under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, stressing that the Rs500 relief scheme should reach eligible citizens through a transparent mechanism.
She directed petrol pump administrations to deal with citizens courteously and ensure complete transparency in the distribution of relief.
Citizens present at the petrol pumps appreciated the government’s initiative and expressed gratitude to the prime minister and Farah Naz Akbar for reviewing the implementation of the scheme.
