Dera ismail khan: Commissioner Dera Division Daud Khan on Wednesday said that the nation will celebrate Independence Day on Aug 14 with unity and national spirit, urging the people to set aside their differences and observe the day in a peaceful and dignified manner.
Talking to media representatives here at his office, the commissioner said national unity and solidarity were the need of the hour and called upon citizens to demonstrate their patriotism while celebrating the country’s Independence Day.
He said Pakistan was the common homeland of all its citizens and urged people to extend full cooperation to the administration, police and security agencies to maintain peace and security during the celebrations.
Speaking about Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the commissioner said that the Dera Division had set an excellent example of religious harmony during Muharram and expressed confidence that Eid Milad-un-Nabi would also be observed with respect, devotion and religious harmony.
