Lahore: The office of the Ombudsman Punjab on Wednesday secured financial relief of Rs. 64.1 million for citizens by resolving complaints against the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), providing administrative justice through prompt intervention and lawful action.
According to a spokesperson, the Ombudsman Punjab received 38 complaints of various nature against WASA. After conducting detailed investigations,the office issued orders in accordance with the law, resulting in the resolution of the grievances. The complaints mainly concerned correction of water bills, installation and restoration of water connections,and installation of water meters.
A spokesman for the Ombudsman Punjab said the institution’s timely intervention and effective directives ensured financial relief amounting to Rs. 64.1 million for the affected citizens.
