Sport Department organises awareness rally to mark ‘Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir’


Sargodha: The District Sports Department, in collaboration with the People’s Social Welfare Society, on Wednesday organised an awareness rally at the E-Library, Sports Stadium to observe Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir and express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).



Led by District Sports Officer (DSO) Sargodha Madam Saima Manzoor and Chairman District Coordination Council of NGOs Senior Journalist Abdul Manan Chaudhry, the rally saw participation from sports personalities, social activists, youth, and a large number of students.



Addressing the participants,the DSO Saima Manzoor stated that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan and the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination cannot be suppressed through state-sponsored oppression. She remarked that Youm-e-Istehsal reminds the world of India’s illegal actions of August 5, 2019, and the ongoing grave human rights violations in the occupied territory.



The DSO further added that the entire Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters, maintaining that their political, diplomatic, and moral support would continue at every forum.



She expressed confidence that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people would eventually lead to their liberation from Indian subjugation.



During the demonstration, participants including Hakim Malik Rab Nawaz, Hafiz Farmanullah Farooqi, Taimoor Hussain Baloch, and students from the Department of Sociology and Criminology of the University of Sargodha carried banners and placards inscribed with slogans in favor of Kashmir’s freedom and against Indian atrocities.
