Orientation for students of new batch held at SSUET

Karachi:The new academic year at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) started with an orientation session held at the university campus, welcoming newly enrolled students and their parents.



The orientation program was organized to familiarize students with the university’s academic, research, and administrative environment and to help them begin their higher education journey with confidence and clarity.



In his message, Chancellor SSUET Mohammad Akbar Ali Khan welcomed the students of the new batch and congratulated them on entering an important new chapter of their lives. He said university life would provide students with valuable opportunities to gain knowledge, experience, and skills that would shape their professional and personal futures.



The Chancellor urged the students to build a strong foundation for their careers through hard work, discipline and dedication. He emphasized that SSUET was not merely an institution for technical and engineering education, but also a center for developing leadership qualities, research capabilities and social awareness among young people.



Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aamir detailed the orientation program’s objectives, which are to equip students for future challenges and introduce them to the resources and opportunities available at the university.



Registrar Lt. Col. (R) Jamshaid Ali, Dean of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Prof. Dr. Mir Shabbar Ali and Dr. Imran Saleem, Chairman of the Department of Emerging Sciences, also spoke on the occasion. Students also enjoyed tours of the library, laboratories, sports complex, cafeteria, and other facilities, along with briefings on administrative matters, the examination system, and university regulations.
