Sargodha: Sargodha Police made comprehensive security arrangements for the central procession and Majlis being held on 28 Safar-ul-Muzaffar to commemorate the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hassan Mujtaba (RA).
According to a police spokesperson, the security arrangements were made on the directions of District Police Officer Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem, with more than 1, 000 police personnel deployed to ensure the safety of the procession.
The central procession would emerge from Imambargah Block No. 7 and proceed along its designated routes before culminating at Imambargah Block No. 19.
Walk-through gates were installed at the entry and exit points of the procession and Majlis venues. Special CCTV cameras were also installed to monitor the procession.
Live surveillance was being carried out through police mobile cameras and Safe City cameras.
A traffic diversion plan was also prepared to ensure smooth traffic flow in the city during the procession.
The DPO Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem said the Sargodha Police were making every possible effort to maintain law and order and ensure foolproof security for all religious gatherings.
He said foolproof security arrangements had been put in place to ensure the peaceful conduct of the procession.
