Rawalpindi: The District Administration Rawalpindi unveiled plans to transform the 280 kanal Pirwadhai Bus Stand into a state-of-the-art multi-modal transit hub equipped with modern waiting lounges, commercial outlets, and passenger amenities during a high-level consultative session with local trade leadership on Friday.
According to the details, Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (r) Nadeem Nasir met with an Anjuman-e-Tajiran delegation led by President Abdul Ghafoor Paracha to address commercial and infrastructure bottlenecks across major market centers.
Reviewing revenue operational gaps at the Pirwadhai terminal, Deputy Commissioner Nasir stated that civil construction will begin shortly on a multi-story parking plaza servicing Raja Bazar and Model Bazar. Administration heads further directed municipal authorities to execute comprehensive drainage, sewerage, and stormwater management overhauls to prevent urban flooding across commercial hubs during monsoon spells.
