President, PM hail security forces for successful operation against Fitna al-Hindustan in Surab


Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday paid tribute to the security forces and Balochistan Police for their successful operation against terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan in Surab, Balochistan, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorism from the country.



President Zardari lauded the security forces and Balochistan Police for the successful action against the terrorists and expressed his best wishes for the early recovery of two personnel who were injured during the operation, a Presidency’s media wing news release said.



He also expressed sorrow over the loss of civilian lives caused by an explosion of explosive material belonging to the terrorists in Surab.



The president called for continued operations against Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists and their facilitators, saying the nation was determined to completely eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.



In a separate statement from the PM’s media wing, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised the officers and personnel of the security forces for the operation in Surab and particularly commended them for killing 10 terrorists during the clearance operation.



The prime minister expressed grief over the loss of precious civilian lives in an explosion that occurred while Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists were preparing a vehicle for a suicide attack.



‘Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists are enemies of peace and the people of Balochistan, ‘ the prime minister said, describing the loss of civilian lives during preparations for terrorist activities as deeply regrettable.



He said the government and nation would continue the fight against terrorism until the menace was completely eliminated from the country.



‘Along with me, the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Armed Forces in their unwavering resolve to protect the motherland, ‘ the prime minister said.
