The ready market witnessed a trading volume of 917. 269 million shares. compared to 716. 039 million shares traded in the previous session. while the traded value increased to Rs44. 806 billion from Rs34. 102 billion. Market capitalisation rose to Rs20. 258 trillion from Rs20. 238 trillion recorded a day earlier.
Out of 496 companies that traded in the ready market. 225 posted gains. 234 suffered losses. while 37 remained unchanged. reflecting a mixed trend across the market.
Cnergyico PK led the volume chart with 173. 553 million shares. followed by Bank of Punjab with 61. 614 million shares and TPL Properties with 50. 021 million shares.
Among the top gainers. Attock Refinery Limited surged by Rs71. 60 to close at Rs1. 059. 47. while National Refinery Limited advanced by Rs44. 58 to settle at Rs492. 95.
On the losing side. Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited declined by Rs236. 88 to close at Rs9. 233. 65. while Blessed Textiles Limited fell by Rs80. 14 to Rs918. 86.
In the futures (DFC) market. turnover stood at 242. 364 million shares with a traded value of Rs12. 361 billion. compared with 162. 568 million shares worth Rs7. 490 billion in t he previous session.
Of the 317 companies traded in the DFC market. 142 advanced. 165 declined and 10 remained unchanged.
