Lahore: The Punjab Walled Cities and Heritage Areas Authority (PWCA), under its continued efforts to preserve and promote Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage, has successfully installed historical information boards at Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh, Multan.
The initiative has been completed with the generous sponsorship of Allied Bank Limited (ABL), Multan, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, said by a spokesperson of PWCA.
The newly installed history boards provide visitors with authentic historical information about the prominent monuments and significant locations within the historic fort complex. Designed in an informative and visually engaging format, the boards aim to enhance the visitor experience by offering insights into the historical, architectural, and cultural importance of the site.
The installation of these boards reflects PWCA’s commitment to improving heritage interpretation and promoting public awareness of Pakistan’s historical assets. The initiative will help tourists, researchers, students, and heritage enthusiasts better understand the significance of Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh, one of Multan’s most iconic historical landmarks.
Director General PWCA, Najmussaqib, appreciated the valuable support extended by Allied Bank Limited, Multan, stating that collaboration between public institutions and the corporate sector is essential for the preservation and promotion of the country’s heritage. He said that such partnerships contribute significantly to making heritage sites more informative, accessible, and engaging for visitors.
He further added that PWCA remains committed to introducing modern interpretation facilities at heritage sites across Punjab to enrich cultural tourism and strengthen public appreciation of the province’s diverse historical legacy.
