Revenue department’s officials directed to address citizens’ complains promptly


Tank: Deputy Commissioner Tank Jamshed Khan, on Tuesday underlined the need for revenue department and service delivery centre to ensure the prompt and transparent disposal of public complaints and applications.



Chairing a meeting to review the performance of the revenue department and service delivery centre, he warned that negligence in service delivery would not be tolerated.



During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the need to provide citizens with efficient, transparent and dignified government services. He instructed the concerned staff to resolve public issues within the stipulated timeframe and avoid unnecessary delays in processing cases.



To strengthen accountability and improve performance, a special monitoring committee was constituted to oversee the functioning of the departments.



The committee would regularly review progress and ensure compliance with government directives.



The Deputy Commissioner also directed the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Assistant Commissioners and Additional Assistant Commissioners to conduct weekly inspections of Revenue Department offices and Service Delivery Centres, evaluate their performance and submit regular reports.



Reaffirming the district administration’s commitment to public welfare, Jamshed Khan said the provision of timely, transparent and respectful services to citizens remained the top priority, adding that any lapse or negligence in this regard would be dealt with strictly.
