Rs17m public land reclaimed in DI Khan anti-encroachment operation


Dera ismail khan: The district administration has reclaimed 10 marlas of public land during an anti-encroachment operation carried out in different areas of Dera Ismail Khan.



The operation was conducted on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Dr Muhammad Hamid Siddiq.



During the operation, illegal encroachments established along Qureshi Mor-Bhakkar Road, Paroa Road and the central median at Qureshi Mor in Mouza Mariali were removed. The affected roads, central median and adjoining public passages were cleared of encroachments to facilitate smooth traffic flow and public movement.



According to the district administration, around 10 marlas of land was reclaimed during the operation, with an estimated market value of Rs17 million.



Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Dr Muhammad Hamid Siddiq said that encroachments on roads, central median, government land and public passageways would not be tolerated.



He directed the concerned teams to ensure that the reclaimed land was protected from re-encroachment.



The district administration said that anti-encroachment operations would continue without discrimination to safeguard public interest, improve traffic flow and ensure convenience for citizens.
