Sukkur: On the directives of Vice Chancellor (VC), Prof. Dr. Mohammad Yousuf Khushk, the Students’ Societies Center (SSC) and Young Peace and Development Corps (YPDC) organized a Seminar and Solidarity Rally at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur to observe Kashmir Youm-e-Istehsal on Wednesday.
Addressing as Chief Guest, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khushk said that Kashmir is our Shah Rag (jugular vein). Pakistan stands firmly with Kashmiris in their just struggle for self-determination. He stressed that lasting peace in South Asia depends on a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per aspirations of Kashmiris.
Dr. Ali Raza Lashari, Coordinator SSC, Farhaan Latif Memon, Students’ Advisor, and Dr. Inayat Bhatti, Chairman Pakistan Studies, also addressed. They highlighted the role of universities in promoting peace, human rights and national unity.
A large number of faculty, officers, PMYDC and YPDC volunteers and students attended the rally carrying placards and chanting slogans of solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
