Islamabad: The export of various services witnessed 18. 81 percent increase during the fiscal year 2025-26 compared to the exports of corresponding period of the last year.
According the data of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), Pakistan earned $10. 035 billion from the export of services during the period under review as compared to services’ export of $8. 446 billion in July-June 2024-25.
The services’ imports also witnessed an increase of 5. 67 percent during the period under review and were recorded at $11. 929 billion as compared to the imports of $11. 290 billion in July-June 2024-25.
During the period under review, the services trade deficit contracted by 33. 38 percent as it was recorded at $1. 894 billion as against the $2. 843 billion.
On year on year basis, the services trade deficit went down by 111. 28 percent during the month of June 2026 and it was recorded at $23. 09 million as compared to the $204. 70 million in the month of June 2025.
In June 2026 services exports grew by 37. 20 percent and reached to $955. 91 million as compared to the exports of $696. 70 million of the month of June 2025.
Meanwhile, the services imports into the country rose by 3. 48 percent during the month under review and it was registered at $932. 81 million as compared to the imports of $901. 40 million of the last year.
On month on month basis, the services trade deficit narrowed by 57. 39 percent in month of June, 2026 and it was recorded at $23. 09 million as compared to the $54. 20 million in the month of May 2026.
The services exports during the month of June 2026 was recorded at $955. 91 million as compared to the exports of $840. 49 million of the month of May 2026.
Meanwhile, the services imports into the country increased by 18. 63 percent during the month under review as compared to the imports of $786. 29 million during May 2026.
