Abbottabad: The Sherwan Family and Adventure Park in Abbottabad has entered its final phase of construction and will soon be opened to the public, according to officials of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cities Improvement Project (KPCIP).
KPCIP Project Director Hameed Ullah Shah, accompanied by Water and Sanitation Specialist Engineer Alamgir Afridi, visited the project site to review the pace and quality of the ongoing construction work. During the visit, they were informed that the 700-kanal park is almost complete and preparations are underway for its opening.
Officials said the park will provide modern recreational facilities for residents and tourists, promote tourism in the region, create employment opportunities for local people, encourage business activity, and contribute to the local economy.
The visiting officials also reviewed progress on other urban development projects in Abbottabad. They were informed that the Chuna Water Treatment Plant, once completed, will supply safe and quality drinking water to more than 36, 000 households, significantly improving public health and living standards.
Hameed Ullah Shah directed the concerned authorities to complete all ongoing projects at the earliest while ensuring that construction work meets the prescribed quality standards so that improved urban infrastructure and recreational facilities can be made available to the public without delay.
