Rawalpindi: The body of a six-year-old boy who fell into a storm drain near Malik Colony on Girja Road has been recovered after an extensive search operation.
According to rescue officials, six-year-old Hussain Ahsan, son of Ahsan, accidentally fell into the drain while playing on Monday. Rescue 1122 teams, assisted by local residents, launched an immediate search operation that continued until the child’s body was recovered.
The incident plunged the area into mourning, with grief-stricken family members and residents gathering at the scene.
Following the tragedy, local residents urged the authorities to take immediate measures to cover the drains and improve public safety to prevent similar incidents in future.
