Peshawar:Station House Officer (SHO) Daud Khan and his gunman Farhad were martyred when unidentified terrorists opened fire on a police party in New Karappa area near the boundary of Karak and Kohat districts on Thursday.
According to Karak police, the police party came under attack while conducting routine patrolling in the area. A passerby also sustained injuries in the firing.
DPO Karak Imran Khan, along with a police contingent, reached the site soon after receiving information about the incident.
The DPO said police had launched a search operation in the area to trace and arrest the attackers.
He said the firing took place at New Karappa, close to the boundary between Karak and Kohat districts.
