Sindh Governor meets Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Managing Director

Karachi: The Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi met Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Senator Captain (Retd.) Shaheen Khalid Butt at Governor House, here on Sunday.



The meeting discussed matters relating to the welfare, assistance and rehabilitation of deserving and underprivileged people.



The Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi said that Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal is playing an important role in supporting deserving individuals, orphans, widows and other people in need.



He appreciated the provision of medical, educational and financial assistance to deserving people, saying that enabling them to lead dignified and self-reliant lives was a collective responsibility.



Hashmi directed that the maximum number of deserving people should benefit from programmes providing education, healthcare and financial assistance.



The Governor and the Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal also discussed other matters of mutual interest.



Shaheen Khalid Butt briefed the Governor on various initiatives of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, saying that financial assistance was being provided to deserving individuals under the Individual Financial Assistance Programme.



He said that the Sweet Homes Programme was providing care and support to orphaned children and taking steps to secure a better future for them.



He further said that Women Empowerment Centres were providing deserving women with vocational skills and opportunities for employment and livelihoods.
