Six illegal housing schemes demolished in DI Khan crackdown

Dera ismail khan: The district administration has demolished structures of six unapproved and illegal housing schemes in Dera Ismail Khan as part of a crackdown on housing societies operating without mandatory approvals and NOCs.



Assistant Commissioner Dera Dr Muhammad Hamid Siddiq, along with the Tehsil Municipal Officer, Land Use and Building Control Authority and other relevant officials, led the operation.



The action was carried out against unapproved housing schemes located along CRBC Road, Bannu Road and Diyal Road.



The boundary walls, main gates and main approach roads of the six housing schemes were demolished, while other unauthorised structures were also removed.



The administration said the action was aimed at protecting citizens from illegal sale of plots and investment in unapproved housing schemes.



It advised citizens to avoid purchasing plots or investing in housing schemes that lacked approval or a valid NOC. They were also urged to verify the legal status, approval and relevant NOC of a housing scheme before making any transaction.



According to the administration, sale and purchase of plots, transfers and other related transactions in the identified illegal housing schemes have been prohibited.



The administration said the crackdown would continue and all relevant laws and government directives would be strictly enforced to protect the interests of citizens.
