Sukkur: A solidarity rally was organized by the district administration in Sukkur on the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir here on Wednesday.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sukkur, Nadir Shahzad Khan, led the Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir rally.
The rally was attended in large numbers by personnel of Sindh Rangers and Police, officers of various government departments, religious scholars, citizens, teachers and students.
Participants were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans expressing solidarity with the people of IIOJK and condemning Indian atrocities.
The solidarity rally started from the Municipal Stadium and concluded at the Sukkur Press Club.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Nadir Shahzad Khan said that the Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the Kashmiri people in their struggle for the right to self-determination.
We will never leave the Kashmiri people alone in the face of Indian oppression and tyranny, he said and added that India abolished the constitutional status of occupied Kashmir through illegal measures on August 5, 2019.
The Kashmiri people should be given the right to self-determination in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, said the deputy commissioner.
DC Sukkur said that Pakistan will continue to extend political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri people.
On Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir, strong solidarity was expressed with the Kashmiri people in Sukkur, while Indian atrocities were strongly condemned.
