Dera ismail khan: The district administration South Waziristan Upper is taking concrete steps to ensure quality healthcare services and strengthen the monitoring mechanism across the district.
Deputy Commissioner Irfan Ali Khan chaired a meeting attended by the district health sector’s monitoring staff.
The meeting conducted a detailed review of health department monitoring, the provision of medical services at Basic Health Units (BHUs), staff attendance, the availability of medicines, sanitation conditions, and the overall performance of health facilities.
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the monitoring staff to make field inspections more effective, ensure regular visits to all health centres, and promptly report any negligence or irregularities so that timely corrective measures could be taken.
The meeting reaffirmed the district administration’s commitment to ensuring the provision of quality and timely healthcare services to the public, while the Deputy Commissioner issued necessary instructions to the relevant officials for further improvement of the health sector.
