Rawalpindi: Naseerabad Police have made a major breakthrough in the investigation into the murder of a man whose body was found stuffed in a sack six days ago, arresting three suspects allegedly involved in the killing.
According to police spokesperson, the suspects were friends of the deceased, Kamran, and allegedly murdered him over a personal dispute.
Police said the suspects allegedly called Kamran to a house, tied his hands and feet and strangled him before placing his body in a sack and dumping it along an unpaved road.
After registering a case, Naseerabad Police used modern investigative techniques to trace the suspects and include them in the investigation.
During questioning, the suspects allegedly confessed to their involvement in the murder, police said.
Superintendent of Police, Potohar Chaudhry Asar Ali said the suspects would be challaned in the court with solid evidence.
The investigation are underway for further legal proceedings, Police spokesperson added.
