Burewala: Traffic signals have been made operational at key intersections in Burewala, with citizens welcoming the modern facility and expressing hope that it would improve traffic flow, discipline and road safety.
Residents said the installation of signals at major roads and intersections would help regulate traffic and promote compliance with traffic laws. They termed the initiative an important step towards improving civic facilities in the city.
Deputy Commissioner Vehari Khalid Javed Goraiya urged citizens to follow traffic signals and observe traffic laws, saying respect for traffic rules was a hallmark of a civilised society.
He said maintaining traffic discipline was not solely the responsibility of the administration and that cooperation from citizens was essential for creating a safer and better road environment.
Citizens appreciated the district administration for launching the traffic signal system and urged authorities to introduce further measures at other important intersections and roads to improve the city’s traffic management.
