Peshawar: Two children were killed and a woman injured when lightning struck in the Kund area of Battagram district, Rescue 1122 officials said on Friday.
Rescue 1122 teams from Battagram and Shangla launched a search and rescue operation following the incident.
Local residents recovered the body of one child, while a search for the second child continued in a nearby stream.
District Emergency Officer Jan Muhammad Afridi was also present at the site and supervised the rescue operation.
