Faisalabad: Two people including a woman lost their lives while seven others sustained injuries in three separate road traffic accidents in Faisalabad during the past 12 hours.
Rescue 1122 spokesman said that a fatal accident occurred near 465 Bypass on the Samundri-Faisalabad Road where a speeding truck struck a motorcycle. As a result, 25-year-old Shahida Bibi, wife of Hassan, died on-the-spot while rescue personnel shifted her body to THQ Hospital Samundri after completing necessary legal formalities.
In another tragic incident near Chak No. 470-GB Totianwala in Samundri tehsil, a collision between two motorcycles claimed the life of 35-year-old Abu Bakar son of Ilyas at the spot while four others suffered injuries.
Rescue 1122 shifted two injured to Tehsil Headquarter (THQ) Hospital Samundri in critical condition. They included 35-year-old Umrana wife of Imran and her seven-year-old son Aliyan Imran.
Two other victims including four-year-old Iman daughter of Imran and 15-year-old Ayesha daughter of Shafqat were provided first aid at the spot.
Meanwhile, another serious road accident took place near Chak No.240 on Khannuana-Makkoana Bypass Road where a Hyundai pickup collided with a Mazda vehicle, leaving three persons critically injured.
The injured identified as 23-year-old Fakhar son of Akhtar, 17-year-old Amir son of Azhar and 26-year-old Qamar son of Ramzan, all residents of Bhakkar, were provided first aid by Rescue 1122 before shifted them to Allied Hospital-I (DHQ Hospital) Faisalabad for further treatment.
Emergency teams responded promptly to all three incidents, ensuring immediate medical assistance, evacuation of the injured to hospitals and transportation of the deceased to the respective healthcare facilities, Rescue 1122 spokesman added.
