Two police personnel killed in separate incidents in Jamrud

Peshawar: Two police personnel were killed in separate firing incidents in Jamrud, Khyber district, on Friday, prompting police to launch investigations into both cases.



According to police officials, Constable Kamran Khan, son of Qadir Khan, a serving member of Khyber Police, was martyred when unidentified assailants opened fire in the Jalaluddin Kalay area near Shah Kas Qadam Athari within the jurisdiction of Jamrud Police Station.



The incident took place in the morning, and the body of the martyred constable was shifted to Jamrud Hospital.



In a separate incident, the body of Bahadur Shah, son of Muhammad Akbar, a police constable serving in Peshawar Police, was found at Ghundi Sakhi Pul in Jamrud.



Police said unidentified assailants had shot Bahadur Shah dead the previous night. His body was shifted to a hospital, where formalities for a post-mortem examination were initiated.



Police have launched investigations into both incidents and are collecting evidence to identify the assailants and establish the motives behind the killings.
