UoG reviews admissions progress


Gujrat: University of Gujrat (UoG) Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq chaired a meeting of deans, chairpersons, directors, heads of departments and members of the Admissions Committee to review admission progress in various academic departments.



According to an official source, the meeting reviewed admission statistics, departmental enrolment targets, the ongoing admission campaign and measures to attract academically promising and meritorious students.



The Vice Chancellor stressed that the university’s priority was quality admissions rather than quantity, saying capable and motivated students were essential for strengthening the academic environment and promoting research and innovation.



He directed heads of departments to adopt effective approaches to attract meritorious students and highlight the university’s academic programmes, research opportunities and faculty expertise.



Prof. Zahoor-ul-Haq also stressed transparency, merit and academic standards throughout the admission process and directed officials to facilitate prospective students and their parents.



The meeting also reviewed forthcoming advertisements for the recruitment of Associate Professors and Professors and discussed measures to further improve the admission process.
