Rawalpindi: Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (R) Nadeem Nasir met with several citizens under the “Open Door Policy” at his office, issuing on-the-spot directives to relevant departments for the immediate redressal of their grievances, here on Wednesday.

The DC emphasized that providing transparent, merit-based and timely relief to the general public remains the top priority of the district administration.

He warned that unnecessary delays or negligence in resolving public complaints would not be tolerated under any circumstances, instructing all government officers to deal with citizens courteously and prioritize their legitimate concerns.

The deputy commissioner directed the officers concerned to track the progress of each application, keep the applicants updated on the status of their complaints, and resolve them within the stipulated timeframes.

He reiterated that the district administration is committed to the principles of public service, transparency, and accountability, adding that the open-door initiative is specifically designed to bridge the gap between the public and the local administration.

Faisalabad: Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director Saqib Raza has ordered a high state of operational readiness across the city and warned that any negligence in drainage operations

or emergency response would invite strict action under zero-tolerance policy.

Chairing a meeting, he reviewed monsoon preparedness and directed all field formations to ensure that monsoon emergency camps remained fully operational, with complete staff attendance and the availability of dewatering sets and all other essential equipment at designated locations.

He said that with the onset of rainy season, the agency’s entire workforce must focus on ensuring the prompt disposal of rainwater and addressing sewerage-related issues without delay.

He stressed that sewerage challenges should be resolved promptly and in accordance with prescribed standards as negligence or poor performance would not be tolerated.

He further instructed that supervisors of all WASA subdivisions must remain present in the field to monitor operations closely and ensure that public complaints relating to sewerage and drainage were resolved on the spot.

Hyderabad: The Central General Secretary of Bhutto Welfare Organization (BWO), Professor Hamadullah Bhutto, on Wednesday said that the organization was working solely on the principles of humanitarian service and social welfare, without any political, ethnic, or sectarian affiliation.

In a statement issued here, Professor Hamadullah Bhutto said that the organization was committed to serving all deserving individuals regardless of their caste, ethnicity, or community, emphasizing that its mission extends far beyond the Bhutto community.

He stated that the organization was providing clean drinking water to underprivileged families and extending financial as well as moral support for the marriages of deserving girls.

He added that wheelchairs and tricycles were being distributed to persons with disabilities, along with other forms of assistance aimed at improving their quality of life.

Bhutto further said that talented and deserving students were being supported through scholarships and educational assistance to help them continue their studies. Free tuition centers have also been established in underdeveloped areas, while vocational training centers are enabling women and young girls to acquire skills that can help them earn a dignified livelihood.

He noted that the organization regularly distributed ration packages to widows from low-income families to help meet their basic household needs.

He added that the organization was raising funds through the support of philanthropists, members, and volunteers to extend assistance to a larger number of deserving people.
