2kg ice, 4kg heroin seized on Mardan-Charsadda road

Peshawar: A major drug smuggling attempt was foiled in Mardan district after the Excise Department seized a large quantity of narcotics from a vehicle on the Mardan-Charsadda Road.



According to officials on Sunday, the Excise Bureau of Intelligence and Investigation (Mardan Squad) carried out a successful operation on the basis of a tip-off.



During the raid, authorities intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number ACC-887 and recovered 2 kilograms of crystal meth (Ice) and 4 kilograms of heroin concealed inside the vehicle.



The narcotics were taken into custody and a case has been registered at the Excise Police Station, Mardan. Further investigation and legal proceedings are underway.



The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department reaffirmed its commitment to making the province drug-free, stating that indiscriminate operations against drug traffickers will continue and those involved in the narcotics trade will face strict legal action.
