Hyderabad: The 47th Academic Council meeting of Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology was held at Professor Qazi Abdul Qawi Senate Hall, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saleem Raza Samo chaired the meeting.
The meeting focused on modern academic programs, curriculum reforms, and the academic and social development of students, where several key decisions were made.
Academic Council approved the introduction of an MS program in Embedded Technologies and Digital Twin, along with the implementation of H1 Teach1 program starting from Batch 2026.
Approval was also granted for the launch of various new academic programs. Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saleem Raza Samo said that introduction of these programs would greatly benefit students and provide them with improved opportunities in modern technology and emerging academic fields.
The meeting also reviewed proposals related to BS Network Infrastructure and Cloud Computing program, BS Software Engineering Evening program, revised curricula for different engineering disciplines, and the evaluation procedures for Final Year Design Projects.
Later, a ceremony was held in which Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saleem Raza Samo distributed awards among faculty and staff members for their outstanding performance. Among those recognized were Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kishan Chand Makwana, Prof. Dr. Intisab Sadhayo, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hanan Shaikh, Prof. Dr. Abdul Sattar Sand, and Engineer Agha Shiraz A Khan, along with other employees.
