Azma Bokhari condoles with Deputy Speaker Zaheer Iqbal


Lahore: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari on Wednesday visited the residence of Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Zaheer Iqbal in Bahawalpur to offer condolences on the passing of his father, late Malik Iqbal Channar.



Chairman of the Punjab Assembly Privileges Committee Sami Ullah Khan accompanied the minister during the visit. According to a press release, Azma Bokhari and Sami Ullah Khan offered Fateha for the departed soul and prayed for his eternal peace and forgiveness.



Speaking on the occasion, Azma Bokhari described late Malik Iqbal Channar as a humble, gracious and sincere individual. She recalled serving alongside him in the Punjab Assembly from 2002 to 2018 and remembered him as a respected colleague known for his admirable personal qualities.Expressing sympathy with Deputy Speaker Zaheer Iqbal, the minister said the loss of a father was an immense personal tragedy. She added that she was deeply saddened by the demise of Malik Iqbal Channar, with whom she had shared a long-standing and cordial relationship.



Sami Ullah Khan also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Deputy Speaker Zaheer Iqbal and the bereaved family, praying that they be granted strength and patience to bear the irreparable loss.
