Quetta: The third meeting of the Board of Directors of Balochistan Aviation Company was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Director Aviation Captain Ali Azad, and other board members.
The session reviewed the company’s operations, performance, and future roadmap, with participants discussing ways to enhance air connectivity, utilize opportunities in the aviation sector, and provide improved travel facilities to the people of Balochistan.
Speaking at the meeting, CM Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that strengthening air connectivity is vital for the province’s economic and social development. He noted that given Balochistan’s vast geography and remote areas, improved aviation links not only facilitate travel but also contribute to trade, investment, tourism, and economic growth.
Sarfraz Bugti stressed the need for professional management, transparency, and effective strategies in the company’s affairs, urging that the institution be aligned with modern requirements to play a proactive role in the province’s larger interest.
He added that the government is committed to providing better facilities to citizens and promoting economic activity across all sectors, with aviation being a key component of this vision.
The meeting also discussed measures to further improve the company’s performance, ensure effective utilization of resources, and plan for future projects.
The Chief Minister directed officials to advance the company’s affairs on a professional basis, prioritizing practical proposals and planning for enhanced air connectivity in Balochistan.
Board members presented their suggestions on various matters, and the meeting concluded with a reaffirmation to ensure effective implementation of decisions and to strengthen the company’s role in serving the province’s development and public welfare.
